Kier: Rail Estimator Apprentice
You’ll be doing: As a Rail Estimator Apprentice, you’ll complete a Level 3 Project Control Technician apprenticeship, allowing you to earn while you learn. You’ll support the Transportation team with day-to-day estimating activities across rail and other transport projects, measuring materials and work requirements using drawings and instructions. You’ll help compare prices from suppliers, prepare clear reports to support decision-making, and assist with reviewing costs after bids are submitted. You’ll also look for ways to improve efficiency and reduce costs without compromising quality.
You’ll bring: The Rail Estimator Apprentice role is well suited to someone who has achieved GCSE Grade 4 or above in Maths and English, demonstrates a punctual and self-motivated approach, is willing to learn, and can work collaboratively as part of a team.

Redemption Roasters: Cafe Chef/Kitchen Leader
You’ll be doing: As a Café/Kitchen Leader, you’ll take charge of the Hampstead kitchen, leading brunch service on Fridays to Sundays with confidence, organisation, and pace. You’ll prepare, cook, and plate dishes to specification with care and precision, and batch-prep sandwich fillings, soups, and counter items during the week. You’ll maintain excellent cleanliness, food safety, and overall kitchen organisation, manage stock, ordering, and prep planning efficiently, and contribute to simple specials and menu development. You’ll also communicate clearly with your Coffee Shop Manager and front-of-house team, keeping service running smoothly.
You’ll bring: You’ll have experience as a café or brunch chef, or in a similar role in a specialty café, bistro, or all-day dining setting , with solid food safety knowledge including allergen management. Weekend availability (Friday to Sunday) is essential. You’ll be confident running a kitchen independently, with strong organisation, prep, and plating skills. You’ll be calm, detail-oriented, and reliable, with clear and proactive communication with the front-of-house team and your manager. Positive, collaborative, and comfortable taking ownership, you’ll be motivated to deliver high-quality food and thrive in a purpose-driven, values-led environment.

XO Barbers:
XO Barbers offers hands‑on barbering training through Onwards & Upwards, designed to help people - particularly those who have faced barriers to employment - build skills and confidence for a career in barbering. Their programme runs both inside HMP Brixton and in the community, where trainees learn core barbering techniques and practice real haircuts in a professional setting. Trainees are supported from initial training through to gaining real experience on clients, often at low‑cost training trims, and the initiative aims to improve employment prospects and provide a fresh start for participants.
XO Barbers Blackfriars Road has officially opened its doors on 12th Jan 2026 for their training programme in the community. Referrals for the course are now open.

KERB: Street food training
Kerb offers an opportunity for anyone who aspires to start their own food business to learn everything about owning a business, planning and executing there idea, through online courses and in person workshops. There is then an opportunity to pitch your completed busy plan to a group of professionals who may then fund your business start up.

Flower Skills: City and Guilds, Level 2 Retrofit Construction course
The City & Guilds Level 2 Award in Retrofit (Construction Industry) is a 5 day, classroom-based course designed to help learners gain future-proof skills in a rapidly growing area of construction. With the UK’s focus on improving energy efficiency in homes and buildings, retrofit specialists are in high demand. This course introduces the fundamentals of retrofit, key techniques for improving building energy efficiency, and provides a pathway towards roles such as retrofit assessor, coordinator, or installer.
By completing this fast-track qualification, learners can boost their employability, access higher-earning opportunities, and become work-ready in just one week.

This is a UK charity that uses football as a way to bring people together and create positive change for individuals facing social exclusion, including people experiencing homelessness, seeking asylum, or struggling with mental health or justice system involvement.

Beyond playing football, the organisation provides wrap‑around support such as:

We have grants and financial support available; covering household items, emergency accommodation, travel, ID, food and more. We also have progression grants to support you with starting a course or purchasing equipment such as PPE to start work.
